Lemon Juice Fasting Diet and Detox for Weight Loss

Have you heard of the lemon juice fasting diet and detox for weight loss? Recently, Demi Moore started doing a cleanse like this with her husband Ashton Kutcher so it has been gaining in popularity.

The lemon juice fasting diet and detox for weight loss is not a new diet, though there are some newer forms of it, particularly the lemonade diet in pill form. See, the original diet was called the Master Cleanse and it was started a long time ago, in the 1940′s.

Basically, you drink about 10-12 glasses of this lemonade which is lemons, cayenne pepper, maple syrup, and purified water. You don’t eat ANYTHING at all for at least 10 days but some people stay on the plan much longer. I have seen one person stay on for 100 days. (See video below).

Should You Try This Lemon Juice Fasting Diet and Detox for Weight Loss ?

I personally think that is craziness and I would be more apt to try the approach that Kym Johnson from Dancing With the Stars is taking. (She won with Donny Osmond last season). She uses the lemon diet in pill form and on this plan, you get the benefits of fat burning and nutrition from the lemons, cayenne pepper and maple syrup, but you also get to at least eat some! It seems to be a more sensible way to do the cleanse and you know how hot her dancer’s bod is, so it definitely works!
